We would like to inform you of an important change to Calor Gas Bottles starting from the 1st February 2023 and how we can help you with it. 

Gas Bottles are integral to your caravanning trips, they’re the reason you can use your oven, you can use your fridge and can heat your caravan on a chilly day. You can’t have a home without some gas! 

Calor has confirmed the discontinuation of selling and refilling Calor Lite, 4.5kg Butane and 3.9kg Propane Gas Bottles. There are reasons for this decision, such as long changeover times, meaning refills were taking far too long, and low filling capacity on popular sizes being too low to last. 

To combat these issues, Calor has revealed that on February 1st 2023, they will be replacing their old gas cylinder sizes with two much larger sizes:

6kg and 7kg.

These new sizes will help simplify the process of exchanging and supplying Gas Bottles, as well as holding more gas. This means less time spent worrying about refills and more time spent on your holiday!

Previous owners need not worry, as they can have their previous Gas Bottle replaced by one of the new sizes. Both Calor Lite and the 3.9kg Propane can be exchanged for 6kg Propane, whereas 4.5kg Butane can be replaced by the 7kg Butane.
